Ben is doing tree and line inspections while Kezia is using her engineering knowledge to understand power flow, working with contractors to do the in-field assessments, and utilising mapping tools.
Ben said the internship at Eastland Network was “an amazing opportunity”.
“It has allowed me to get a large portion of the required work experience needed for an engineering degree while making connections in the professional world.”
Eastland Network general manager Jarred Moroney is highly impressed by the interns.
“They have come into the business and taken each of their tasks very seriously. They are interacting with our team here as though they are permanent staff and seem to have gained respect already.
“For a group of young people they are doing an exceptional job and setting the bar very high for future interns.”
