A109 Light Utility Helicopter flight with mayor Gisborne City from the air in November 2023.
Opinion
From Monday to Saturday, I await my delivery of The Gisborne Herald . . . well, I used to wait in anticipation of good local and national news and the Letters to the Editor, which were generally the highlight of my evening read.
Now with my BS meter in overdrive,
I am less enthusiastic, mainly because the overdose every night of these lefty clowns and with old Bob banging away about the next mass extinction, topped off with Tanith's rather selective view of our combined history, littered with words no one understands from his trusty Thesaurus (I wonder what seat in the waka his ancestors had that stashed under?), I can now see why the mental health of our citizens is going through the roof. Anyone with a fragile disposition would be very unwise to open the paper without at least three glasses of their chosen beverage — or a few Panadols on board and the Mental Health line on speed dial . . . Jeez guys, give us all a break!
I'll just close with some sage advice.
If you dig into the history of any political party, you will find errors of judgement, if you're not convinced I will attempt to list Labour's in my next column. I'll need more room than the rules for this letter allow.
And a great “Tui” billboard advert to finish: “We will be the most honest and transparent Government New Zealand has ever had” (nearly choked writing that bit). It could send sales through the roof in Mangatainoka.
