Car set alight then pushed over bank

Firefighters were called to Herschell Road in outer Kaiti at around 11pm on Saturday after reports a car was on fire.

“The car had been set alight and pushed over a bank,” a senior firefighter said.

“It was well alight when we arrived.”

The car was destroyed in the fire.

“It was a total loss.”

Police have an inquiry under way.
