LOVE OUR MOANA: The ocean was the theme for last year’s Christmas Parade and this pair stood out with their striking fish costume. This year’s parade, on November 29, will be another kaleidoscope of colour under the theme of Colours Of The Rainbow. Picture by Paul Rickard
It promises to be a colourful Christmas Parade this year with the call going out to start thinking about designing floats with the theme Colours Of The Rainbow.
Those keen to be part of the November 29 parade are encouraged to put on their creative caps, choose one or more,
or even all of the colours of the rainbow, and find inspiration in anything from movies to books and music.
Enthusiastic people can team up with a school, pre-school or not-for-profit organisation, or if finding an appropriate vehicle is a problem, simply provide a walking group entry.
“It’s all about putting smiles on kids’ faces,” says organiser and city centre vibrancy manager Lana Davy.
“We want to celebrate how Tairawhiti has come through some dark times of Covid-19 proud.”
