Eight log ships came calling in December and took away a total of 180,000 tonnes of timber from the region.
Another two log ships have already visited in January and Eastland Port expects another eight before the end of the month.
“The log yard stocks are quite low from the
Christmas break so it will be good to start seeing a consistent flow of logs coming through the port again,” a port spokesperson said.
“The McConnell Dowell team are back from their break this week and will continue their great progress made on the Wharf 7 project last year.
“To date, 125 of 150 piles are in place and the deck panel installation is humming along too.”
