New Zealand's fastest male and female sprinters are about to get up close and personal with the one-and-only Usain Bolt.
Western Bay residents Joseph Millar and Molly Florence, who are both 100m national title holders, will join other young athletes in a training session with the Olympic champion Bolt atthe AUT Millennium facility, on Auckland's North Shore, on Monday.
Tauranga-based Millar, who went to Aquinas College, won three golds at the 2012 NZ Champs and the 20-year-old is the fourth fastest New Zealand 100m sprinter of all time.
His junior 4x100m relay times are parallel with Bolt's at the same age.
Rotorua flyer Florence, who is just 16, also won gold at this year's nationals in the 100m and is a member of the NZ women's 4x100m relay squad.
The opportunity to train with Bolt is a rare thing in world athletics. He is arguably the greatest sprinter of all time, winning three gold medals at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and then creating history by defending all three - 100m, 200m and sprint relay - at this year's London games.
The other athletes training are Aucklanders Joshua Hawkins, Stella Pearless, Dalton Coppinstrom and Rochelle Coster, and Kristie Baillie from Hamilton.
