Bay of Plenty Te Waiariki teams will be joined by sides from North Harbour, Auckland, Counties Manukau and Waikato to participate in round two of the Te Hiku o Te Ika tournament at Rotorua International Stadium tomorrow. Mark Seymour Bay of Plenty Rugby Union's Te Waiariki co-ordinator highlighted the importance of hosting the Te Hiku o Te Ika tournament in Rotorua.

"Following the Bay of Plenty Rugby Union's celebration of the success, history and involvement Maori Rugby has played in the Bay of Plenty two weeks ago in Rotorua, it is fitting to see this tournament hosted here," he said.

"Rotorua is the heart of Maori Rugby and the presence of this tournament here continues to recognise the important part Maori Rugby plays in the Bay of Plenty."

Round one was held in Helensville last weekend and round three will be held in Manurewa next weekend.

The tournament will feature three age groups; under-15s, under-17s and under-19s with both boys and girls competing at the under-19 levels as well as senior men.
