The Papamoa Bulldogs under-9 rugby league team travelled to Auckland on Sunday to play the curtain-raiser to the Warriors clash with Manly.
They were extremely excited and the cameras were especially attracted to their outfits, as they featured several times both on the big screen and at home on theSky television broadcast.
The Bulldogs played the East Coast Bay Barracudas and drew 4-4. The Junior Warriors played before them and the Papamoa boys also got to be guard of honour for them at halftime. It was a wet and cold morning but the weather had cleared up when they arrived at Mt Smart Stadium.
As the boys were playing the stadium quickly filled up with 11,000 fans as the senior Warriors side played only minutes after them.
The club, management and parents are all very proud of the boys and thank everybody who was involved in organising a truly memorable experience.
