Central's wafer-thin line repeated the performance when Mount Maunganui quick bowler Tony Goodin grabbed a seven-wicket bag, bundling Central out for just 67, in the last round of the Williams Cup preliminary competition.
Goodin returned figures of 7/35, with Dale Swan taking three wickets at a cost of only seven runs.
Bay wicketkeeper Time Clarke led his team to a 10-wicket victory, posting an unbeaten 46 - as his side finished top qualifier for next week's Williams Cup semi-finals.
Two solid Tauranga Boys College partnerships ensured they won the sudden death match-up with East Bay United, to give Tauranga Boys a Williams Cup post-section place.
Opener Tom McRury (58) and Mark Orchard (36) put on an 83-run second wicket partnership, while Cameron Neal top scored for his side with 76 runs, producing a 73-run alliance with Charles Williams (33). Tauranga Boys were removed for 273 in their 49th over.
The Eastern Bay visitors made a determined charge for victory, and were up with the required run rate, until Mark Orchard grabbed three wickets in one over to blunt the East Bay United attack. Orchard took five wickets as East Bay United were dismissed for 215. Alex Yates and Richard Nillesen both scored 39 runs apiece for the visitors.
The Western Bay derby between Cadets and Greerton was a low-scoring affair producing just over 200 runs in the game. Cadets won the toss and elected to bat, and were in real trouble at 42/6. A captain's knock of 37 by Jono Boult, gave his side some respectability as they were removed for just 127.
Greerton's Dutch Academy bowler Sebastiaan Bratt knocked off the Cadets top order to finish with 3/25.
A home Baywide semi-final was at stake for both teams but Greerton simply had no answer to the Cadets bowling attack, and were all out for just 75. Current New Zealand Under 19 team member Sean Davey was the best of the Cadets attack with three wickets.
Next weekend's Williams Cup semi-finals will see Mount Maunganui host Greerton, with Cadets at home against Tauranga Boys College.
