Bay roll into Northern semifinal

Bay of Plenty will play Auckland East today for the right to contest tomorrow's Roller Mills Northern Region championship final.
Bay wrapped up an unbeaten run through pool play yesterday with a six-try, 38-0 thrashing of Waikato Rangers. North Harbour topped Pool A with a 60-0 defeat of King Country, setting up a semifinal today against Auckland West.
Bay coach Jeff Robb said yesterday's second half against Waikato, that yielded four tries, was the side's best of the week.
"We haven't really hit out straps yet but the boys came off after that last 30 minutes yesterday feeling quite pleased because they stuck to the pattern and achieved a cohesiveness that hasn't been evident yet.
"Hopefully that teamwork extends into the semifinals but it'll be tough against an East side playing good rugby."
