The 5th Rotorua Bike Festival is set to take place from February 10-19.

This year's festival boasts 25 events, including 12 new events along with a bunch of old favourites, to make a week worthy of celebration.

The festival has a traditional start with Go By Bike Day, run by Sport Bay of Plenty, followed by a brand new Friday night launch event, the Agroventures Freestyle AirBag BIG AIR Comp, which will take place on the Village Green by the Lakefront.

With a prize purse of more than $2000, it is sure to attract some of the best talent in the country.

With everything from meditative bike experiences, family rides and road rides to epic tests of endurance and knuckle-whitening enduro battles, there is something for everyone to enjoy at this year's Rotorua Bike Festival.

For those not so inclined to throw a leg over the saddle, there is also plenty of good spectating to be had, as well as movie nights, the Frock'n'Roll Fashion Show and family fun days.

Make sure you also check out the Festival Passport here for your opportunity to win prizes from great local businesses.

The tail end of the festival this year sees the return of a local favourite, Ride the Runway, with a bit of a twist.

The introduction of a two-wheeled team battle and the elite event "Devil take the hindmost" is sure to provide plenty of entertainment.
