If you're like me, you would have had plenty of visitors in recent weeks with more expected over the next few months.

Tauranga and Mount Maunganui is obviously a popular spot for the summer months and with the generally beautiful weather, stunning beaches and plenty of outdoor activities to keep visitors busy, it's no surprise.

Add the plethora of events on offer too and cue even more people attracted to visit the amazing spot that we live in.

In 2018 we've already had some massive events around the region, starting with Bay Dreams on January 2 and 3 and a massive line-up of international artists such as DJ Snake, Kehlani, Big Shaq and Machine Gun Kelly to name a few getting a glimpse of what Tauranga has to offer.

We've also been able to enjoy a quality performance by legend Bryan Adams on Sunday and we've hosted the Black Caps this month with more matches scheduled for Auckland Anniversary Weekend.

This weekend, in particular, is set to be a massive one for the city with the two-day One Love music festival on January 27 and 28 and the Enzed 2018 Jetsprints Stadium Cup confirmed for Baypark Stadium on January 27.

There is no doubt we live in one of the summer's most popular areas and we are lucky to have all of these events in our backyard because there is always something for everyone.

So, if you live in Tauranga or Mount Maunganui, don't be surprised if you get a call from friends and family wanting to come and visit or stay - they're likely to want to spend time where everyone else seems to too.
