1. Papamoa road rage incident to air on television Footage of a "road rage" incident where a man was assaulted with a baton-like weapon in Papamoa is the subject of this week's Police Ten 7 television show. The television crew was in Papamoa last Friday filming opposite KFC onDomain Rd where the incident occurred in August and featured on Thursday night's episode of Police Ten 7.

Plans are in place for a new private school in Tauranga which will allow talented young athletes to complete NCEA while honing skills in their chosen sport. United World Sports Academy is set to open in February next year and will operate from the Bethlehem Community Church Centre on Moffat Rd.
3. Family in tears after boy shot with BB gun at Tauranga Boys' College A high school student was held down and shot in the leg with a BB gun by bullies who later joked about it on social media. The Year 9 boy with mild Asperger Syndrome was also roughed up in Tauranga Boys' College toilets received an email from another boy at the college saying: "I am going to kill you mo ha ha ha DIE!."

4. Arrests after armed carjacking in Tauranga A person was held at gunpoint and had their car taken in rural Tauranga. Police later found the car near Mobil on Cameron Rd, discovering guns inside it.
5. It's showtime for new fireworks extravaganza in Tauranga A new fireworks show for Tauranga is just days away, with organisers hoping the community day will become a trusted annual event. The Tye Park Fireworks Extravaganza will be held in Welcome Bay on Friday, November 3.
