Footage of a "road rage" incident where a man was assaulted with a baton-like weapon in Papamoa will be broadcast on crime television show Police Ten 7 this week.
The television crew was in Papamoa on Friday filming opposite KFC on Domain Rd where the incident occurred in August and will feature on Thursday night's episode of Police Ten 7.
Papamoa police station officer in charge Sergeant Tristan Murray said a man was assaulted with a baton-like object following a road rage incident on Domain Rd at 6.10pm on August 13.
"The victim has told us an incident happened on the State Highway 2 expressway between Baypark and the Papamoa interchange," Mr Murray said.
He said the vehicles had then ended up at the traffic lights opposite KFC on Domain Rd at the intersection of Gravatt Rd, where CCTV footage captured the assault.
