Wishing for festive gift

The 2010 Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal has been launched with Kmart hoping for 30,000 gifts for needy children to be donated this year.
Kmart's New Zealand manager Sue Smith said the gifts would be distributed by The Salvation Army.
"This year's Appeal is almost certainly the most important we've held to date, given the continued tough economic times and the extent of need within our communities," Ms Smith said.
To contribute, place a gift under a wishing tree at Bayfair's Kmart store and add a gift tag from the tree to identify the age and gender of a suitable recipient.
The gift does not need to have been purchased from Kmart.
The Appeal runs until Christmas Eve.
