MetService meteorologist Emma Blades says Tauranga is set for sunshine and temperatures in the low twenties this long weekend.

"It's looking pretty nice... It's only looking like there will be a bit of cloud rolling in Saturday afternoon with rain overnight and clearing Sunday morning."

She suggests people carry a rain jacket with them on Saturday afternoon.

Tomorrow and Saturday are predicted to be the warmer days.
