The national average has increased, with 89.9 per cent of students attempting NCEA level 2 last year passing, compared to 88.5 per cent in 2015.
A number of schools nationally had a 100 per cent pass rate.
These were mostly private or high decile schools, although one decile 1 school in Huntly, Te Wharekura o Rakaumangamanga, achieved this.
The top 5 level 2 pass rates for decile 10 schools were 100 per cent - these were all from private or integrated schools.
