Two people have escaped their car after it crashed into water off Turrett Rd.

A police spokeswoman said it appeared a car had gone off the road and into the water in about 1.20am.

She said there were no injuries or blockages and ambulance were not required to attend, but fire crews did.

No one was trapped.

A tow truck was called to retrieve the vehicle.
