People involved in a crash on State Highway 2, south of Waihi, have been treated for minor injuries.
A Northern Fire Service Communications spokesman said the collision, which happened about 11.50am, involved a heavy truck and trailer unit and a van.
Both vehicles are off the road, 500m north ofBridgeman Lane.
The spokesman said it was understood the patients suffered minor injuries and had been treated by St John ambulance staff.
