Fire and ambulance staff were called to rescue a child who got her head stuck in a bookcase at a Tauranga day care centre yesterday.
Firefighters were called to the day care centre about 2pm, where a 1-year-old had wedged her head between two metal bars that were part ofthe bookcase, said Tauranga Fire Brigade senior station officer Len Sabin.
