Why there are no confirmed cases in the Coromandel

We have gotten to where we are now by sheer luck so why change the strategy now.

If good ventilation helps to stop Delta transmission, then why are we all locked down with local parks closed off and we are told to stay home? Maybe the reason there is no virus in Coromandel is because most of the population are outdoors people who spend the majority of their lives outside and not seated in stuffy offices, buildings or homes.

A great deal of traffic arriving in the Coromandel Peninsula overnight. Having survived the initial scare, it would be great if people understood our desire to keep our local community safe.

My experience with interviewing close contacts is that some of them don't tell you everything, there are places they've been and people they've seen that they won't tell you, even Covid positive contacts, they only tell you want they want to tell you.

I'm still wondering if the Government regrets letting Sydney red zone returnees come back here without a PCR test, all returnees from Australia were required to take this test - except those coming from New South Wales.

I suggest that the Prime Minister, all Ministers' and all Labour MPs' pay is reduced to $600 per week, to match the current wage subsidy, as long as any part of the country is in lockdown and the vaccination rate remains under 80 per cent.
