Local trainer Brian McKeagg will be looking for another win when his 3-year-old Galloping Gerte starts in the Back To Black, 1200 maiden at Tauranga Racecourse tomorrow.
At Galloping Gerte's first outing two weeks back, the Bay filly showed real pace by flying home for third from the back of
the field at the corner.
McKeagg picked up his third winner for the season when Cantare won at Te Rapa last Monday. He had one other runner in Lola Jane.
Another local trainer Jim Pender has Ohope Prince lining up in the feature race, The Chesters Plumbing 1300.
Ohope Prince, with $113,000 in winnings, has not raced since Hastings at the end of August, where it was an all-the-way winner. Pender's other starters are Falkirk Lass, I'ma shygirl, El Bandido and St Saturnin.
