A Tauranga service station was ram-raided overnight by knife-wielding robbers.

The attack at Tauriko's Caltex Service Station is the latest in a spate of aggravated robberies and ram raids plaguing the city.

Police are still at the station on State Highway 29 this morning.

Officers were called to the service station about 2.10am after a person drove a vehicle into the front door of the store and two other offenders entered.

At least one was carrying a knife, police said.

The offenders fled in the vehicle with cigarettes and cash.

No one was injured but witnesses are receiving ongoing support.

The robbery comes after a series of others, including the knife-point robbery of a Te Puke takeaway store on Friday and a ram-raid attack on Maungatapu Superette. View footage of the Maungatapu Superette raid below.
