Tauranga puts on stunning day for season's first double cruise ship visit

Tauranga has put on a beautiful day for the first double cruise ship visit of the summer season.

Noordam arrived at the Port of Tauranga just before 9am from Napier and Sun Princess followed just after 9am from Port Chalmers in Dunedin.

Both ships will leave for Auckland this evening - Sun Princess first at 8.30 and Noordam next at 9.

Sun Princess can hold 2000 guests while Noordam can take up to 1924.
