Cateye Moonride

Tauranga man Andrew James Carmichael will be farewelled in a service on Friday after passing away during a cycling event last Saturday.

Mr Carmichael suffered a fatal cardiac arrest while competing in the the NZo Moonride charity event in the weekend.

Mr Carmichael, 60, was a senior civil engineer at Aurecon, an international company providing engineering, management and specialist technical services for public and private sector clients.

The Carmichael family are well known in the Tauranga area.

He is survived by his wife Pam, his children Mel, James and Sarah. A funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Church at 11am on Friday.
