A lucky Powerball player in Tauranga has scored themselves $5 million this weekend with Lotto Powerball First Division.

The winning ticket was sold at Greerton Lotto and is made up of $4 million from Powerball First Division and $1 million from Lotto First Division.

This is the 10th time this year that a lucky Lotto player has scooped the top Powerball prize. This is also the second time this year that Greerton Lotto have sold a top Powerball prize.

In February 2015, a Tauranga Lotto player won $4.5 million with Lotto Powerball on a ticket bought at Greerton Lotto. The winners were regulars at the Greerton Lotto store and were stunned with their win.

For the only the second time in its history, Strike Four jackpotted to a Must Be Won draw after reaching its threshold of $800,000. This means that because no single ticket won Strike Four, the prize pool has been added to the next highest division with winners - Strike Three.
