Volleyball Tauranga Girls versus Otumoetai. Emma Mabbott (centre)

Tauranga Girls' College A will take on defending champs Burnside High School (Christchurch) in the girls' final at the Massey University New Zealand Secondary Schools' Volleyball Champs in Palmerston North.

The final begins at 3.30pm.

Tauranga Girls' defeated Mangere College in their semifinal. After a tight opening three sets, Tauranga
Girls' sealed the win in the fourth set winning 3-2. Burnside beat top seeds Marlborough Girls' College in the other semi.

In the boys' semifinals, Tauranga's Otumoetai College lost in straight sets to Westlake Boys' High School (North Harbour) and Manurewa High School (South Auckland) managed a win against Orewa College (North Harbour) 3-1. The final is scheduled for 5.15pm today.
