Tauranga crash: Person killed named as Harkewal Singh

One person has died following a crash on Pyes Pā Rd in Tauranga last week.

He was Harkewal Singh, 64, from Tauranga.

Emergency services were called to the crash between a car and a pedestrian around 9.10pm on December 12.

“One person received critical injuries at the scene and was transported to hospital,” police said today.

“Sadly, they died in hospital four days later.”

Inquiries into the crash were ongoing.
