Owen Dippie's 27m-high recreation of the Birth of Venus being composed on Harrington House is not long away from completion.

The local street artist has been painting the west side of Harrington House since January 22 this year.

Although the artist said it is too soon to speculate when it would be completed, the end would be in the next few weeks.

The mural comes after the artist announcement he would be relocating to Auckland after some "adventures" in America.

Owen Dippie's manager Erin Dippie said Mr Dippie would rather wait to comment on the progress of the mural once it had been completed.

"But I can say this, we aren't calling this his last Tauranga Mural we will travel down to paint, our family is here, we are just heading off on an adventure," she told The Bay of Plenty Times yesterday afternoon.
