Bay of Plenty surf lifesavers have claimed three medals after slogging it out with Australasia's best at the Australasian Surf Lifesaving Nationals at Scarborough Beach, Western Australia.

The Mount Maunganui Surf Life Saving Club was the best performed, with Amy Barron's gold medal in the under-17 female single ski complementing Hamish Miller's gold in the under-15 2km beach run.

It was a busy weekend for Miller, who alongside Daniel Barron - a 12th placed finisher in the under-15 male ironman - finished fifth in the under-15 male surf board race.

The trio of Flora Manciet, Brooke Shergold and Emmanuelle Bescheron also had a busy schedule, combining to finish 11th in the open female taplin relay and sixth in the open female single ski relay.

Manciet also finished 16th in the open female ironwoman - a feat equalled by clubmate Libby Bradley in the under-15 female division.

Madison Kidd claimed Papamoa Surf Life Saving Club's lone medal by finishing third in the under-17 female beach flags final.

Natalie Peat finished with two top-10 results - eighth in the under-19 female ironwoman and seventh in the under-19 female surf race.
