Year 12 students, Brooke Christiansen, Jessica Crocket, Aimee Muir, Briagh Ryle and Evi Haitsma during a holiday rehearsal on the catwalk.

Over the past six weeks, 96 students from Tauranga Girls' College and 26 students from Tauranga Boys' College, from Year 10 to Year 13, have been busy prepping their poses for the annual fashion parade.

The latest trends from local and international brands will be paraded down the catwalk on Wednesday, May 14 and Thursday, May 15 at 7pm in the Tauranga Girls' College hall.

The event truly brings out the inner diva, as the students will strut their stuff to self choreographed dance routines for the PTA's only fundraiser of the year, where all proceeds are distributed back to Tauranga Girls' College.

Director Pauline Happé and deputy director Suzy Lochead are helping the students, along with 50 backstage volunteers. They have been directing the show for three years.

"It's not about us, though," Pauline says, "It's about the clothes, and the students having a good time."

Thirteen stores and their brands will make an appearance, including returning fashions from Bettie Monroe, Esprit, Evolution, Frank Casey, The Formal Shop, Nevada, Player, Silver Surfers, Thanks and Urban Vogue, with new additions from Jeanswest, Kilt and RPM.

Every year, the TGC and TBC Fashion Parade is a huge success and entertains people of all ages, annual viewers as well as first timers.

Tickets are available from either college and cost $12 each, or $10 concession for four or more on the Wednesday night only. Door sales are available if not sold out.
