Southern Pipeline works start on Merivale Hill

A section of Tauranga's $106 million Southern Pipeline is laid out this week in preparation for it being pulled through an 800mm diameter hole being drilled 14m below Merivale Hill.
This 670m section of the pipeline along Fraser St will run from Baycroft Ave to Esk St.
Meanwhile pipe supplies are back to normal from the Christchurch factory hit by the earthquake, meaning work can recommence on the 1.7km section from 18th Ave to Memorial Park.
