AFC Fury take on Papakura City from 2pm at Te Puna's Maramatanga Park tomorrow in the first of two legs to determine which club will be promoted to the Northern Regional League in 2014.

A key factor in the Fury performance this season has been instilling a relentless mindset which showed with eleven straight wins in the second half of the season.

The two leg home and away playoff format is very much different to playing a league or cup game. The team that plays the away leg first has a significant advantage. Away goals can count double depending upon results and goal differences.

It means it has to be treated like a tournament and it also means selection of the 16 man squad has to be carefully thought through.

Papakura are formidable opponents and are the favourites. Fury has never reached this position before. They have some very good players including their Fijian internationals.
