Skies clear as Black Caps play at Bay Oval in Twenty20 match against the Windies

The skies cleared above the Bay Oval just in time for cricket fans to watch the Black Caps take on the West Indies.

Brothers William and Daniel Glover were kitted out in Black Caps shirts and hats while they waited with their Black Caps flag and a homemade sign right on the edge of the cricket pitch.

Nine-year-old William is a massive cricket fan.

He said he recorded every cricket match played on the television, turned the sound down and made up his own commentary when he watched cricket.

"I love the batting and the bowling and watching the teams battling it out with all the action," he said.

Seven-year-old Daniel said he also liked "all of the action" and when cricket players hit sixes.

The brothers not only liked watching cricket but they also played for their local team, Karaka, in South Auckland.

"I like hitting the ball and bowling people out," William said.

The Glover brothers were excited to take a photo with Black Cap Corey Anderson before the match.

The Henderson family from Tauranga had a prime spot at the Bay Oval as they waited for the match to start.

Brothers Dylan and Cruz Henderson were excited to watch the Black Caps play on the same field they played on as members of the Mount Maunganui Cricket Club.

"It's pretty cool," Dylan said.

The 10-year-old said Colin Munro was his favourite Black Cap as he often hit sixes.

"My favourite Black Cap is Trent Boult because he normally gets people out," 8-year-old Cruz Henderson said.
