The reconstruction of the rail level crossing is well underway this morning at the Baypark roundabout.

State Highway 29a between the SH2 roundabout and the Truman Lane roundabout, Te Maunga would be closed all weekend until 5am Monday August 8.

SH29a traffic was diverted via Truman Lane and Sandhurst Drive during this time.

New Zealand Transport Agency advised people to expect delays during Saturday and Sunday, especially in the area of Sandhurst Dr and SH2 interchange.
