Two days of spectacular age group sevens rugby culminated in three excellent finals at Blake Park on Friday.

Bethlehem school Te Wharekura o Mauao continued to impress as they took out the under-15 boys' divison 2 final by 12-10 over Northcote College.

Auckland's De La Salle College won the under-15 boys' division 1 final 24-12 over New Plymouth Boys' while Hamilton Girls' prevailed in a quality game against Tauranga Girls' by 17-5 in the under-15 girls' final.

Te Puke High School played well to make the under-19 girls' final but were defeated by Hamilton Girls' 17-5.

The New Zealand Secondary Schools under-15 boys' competition ran alongside the North Island under-15 and under-19 girls' tournaments with 38 teams and 500 players involved.
