Contemporary dance and a live brass band has been brought to the front door step of Bay locals.

The New Zealand Dance Company will premiere their 2015 Australasian tour Rotunda which will come to life at Tauranga's Baycourt Community and Arts Centre tomorrow night.

The dance crew teased crowds at today's performance as they danced on the backdrop of Tauranga Art Gallery.

Eight dancers in conjunction with the NZ Army Band will bring the tour to Tauranga for the first time before heading to Wellington.

The tour is timed to commemorate the Gallipoli landings 100 years ago and to celebrate the Anzac spirit.
