The popular Western Bay of Plenty Scouts Mudslide Day will again be hosted at the Bruning farm on the corner of Omokoroa Rd and State Highway 2 next month, thanks to Te Puna Scout Group.
Organiser Andy Goodall said the 4-year-old event has been hosted at various locations around the district.
"Last
year, we secured the perfect site at a large dairy farm owned by the Bruning family. It has excellent access, high visibility and most importantly an awesome 60m hill and lots of swampy areas, in which to create our slide and muddy obstacles."
The event runs from 9.30am to 3pm on February 20.
The $10 entry includes a commemorative badge and a cup of soup at the completion of the mudslide course.
"Each mudslider can have as much mud as they can carry as well."
