As another two cruise ships set sail tonight, Mount Mainstreet are encouraging people to head down after work and join them on Pilot Bay with a basket of picnic essentials.

"Pack a basket of goodies, bring a blanket, brolly and a bottle of your 'favourite' and come farewell the 6,000 visitors as they depart."

Last month, Mount Mainstreet's picnic attracted hundreds to Pilot Bay for a cruise ship send-off and tonight they have got Classic Hits on-board with a free sausage sizzle and giveaways.

The Oosterdam is set to depart at 5.45pm and organisers say they will be set up from 5.30pm.

Voyager of the Seas has been delayed to now depart at 9.30pm.
