An oil spill clean-up is underway on Welcome Bay Rd following a crash that injured two people this evening.
A man sustained moderate injuries and another person minor injuries in the two car crash, a police spokeswoman said.
She said police were called to the crash, about 1km from the
Te Puke Highway intersection, at 5.40pm.
The crash was partially blocking Welcome Bay Rd, and the council had been called to clean up a small oil spill on the road.
