One injured in car and cyclist collision in Welcome Bay

One person has minor injuries following a collision between a car and a cyclist in Welcome Bay this morning.

A police spokeswoman said the collision happened on Welcome Bay Rd near the intersection with Azores Way, which is opposite the Caltex service station.

The police were called to the scene about 7.45 and an ambulance was also in attendance.

A photographer at the scene said the crash had been cleared but traffic was still crawling on Welcome Bay Rd.
