Inkeeping with tradition, the Omokoroa Artists exhibition is returning this spring in its 23th year.
The long-running creative group is happy and relieved the annual exhibition is able to go ahead this Labour Weekend after the Covid-19 situation. And, that they will not break their long-standing exhibition tradition.
Mostmembers (there are about 25-30 Omokoroa Artists members) will be supplying one to five pieces of art each. All works will be for sale.
Group co-ordinator Jill Pretty says the artwork on show will be hugely varied and will include corrugated iron, drawing, mixed media, water colour, sculpture, cards, clay work and even surrealism thrown into the mix.
Some of the artists will be demonstrating their craft on site as well.
Adding another element to the art factor will be a special ''art n tartan'' display set up by wearable arts guru Carole Hebberd.
An area will be set aside for children to participate and create their own masterpieces.
■ Omokoroa Artists Exhibition is on Labour Weekend from October 24-26 (Saturday and Sunday at 10am-4pm, Monday at 10am-1pm) at Settlers Hall. Entry is free.
