"Yes we feel relaxed, but that takes nothing away from our desire to stand on the top step of the podium again.
"Every time I get in the car, I treat it as another step in my career to be a professional driver. So I need to continue to learn and deliver results at every opportunity."
With his position at the top of the championship, Holder gets first choice of road order within the top five competitors.
Even without the chance to have a look at the roads, the 27-year old is keen to lead the field away.
"When it comes to road position, I think Jase and I have decided it will be best for us to lead from the front and run number one on the road.
"We really enjoyed the experience at Gisborne, heck it proved to be fruitful too. But more importantly it means we won't have any effect on other championship battles going on behind us."
The team will have plenty of sponsor activities around the event which include a visit to the local school. While those around the Coromandel may catch a glimpse of Jack the Stadium Finance Bear as he goes on a bit of a road trip.
The Mahindra Goldrush Rally Coromandel takes place on Saturday August 20 based from the holiday destination of Whitianga.
Competitors cover 121 kilometres of special stages, split into 10 stages before the ceremonial finish in Blacksmith Lane from just after 5pm.
