Bay of Plenty students should be able to access their NCEA exam results from today.

Abi Looker-Bonne will be one of the thousands of Bay students logging into the NZQA website tomorrow to check her NCEA results.

The Katikati College student sat four NCEA Level 2 exams and, while she thought she would pass, she had her doubts.

"I only needed to pass one of my external exams to gain my Level 2 and go through. I'm pretty certain I've passed at least one of my exams."

The 17-year-old thought she had already gained enough credits through internal assessments, but rules were she needed to gain external examination credits to achieve the qualification.

Her mother Paula Looker said she was quietly confident her daughter would pass.

"From adding up her credits and talking to her teachers we really hope she's passed Level 2 with Merit. I think she's worrying more than she should be."

Results will be available on the New Zealand Qualifications Authority website, visit www.nzqa.govt.nz.

For help or information call the NZQA Call Centre on 0800 697 296.
