The Mount Maunganui Post Shop and Kiwibank will close later this month.

The Mount Maunganui PostShop at 155 Maunganui Rd will close on July 28 and postal and courier services will be shifted to the nearby Paper Plus store because of a contract change. PO Box services and a Kiwibank ATM will remain at the Mount Maunganui shops.

Given the proximity of alternative Kiwibank branches, Kiwibank banking and bill payment services will no longer be offered in this location.

"We'll be writing to regular Kiwibank customers to advise them of this change," said Robyn Dalzell, Head of Retail Operations at New Zealand Post. "We'll also provide support to customers wanting to discuss using internet or telephone banking."

"Customers will still be able to post letters and parcels in Mount Maunganui just a few doors away at Paper Plus at 130 Maunganui Rd," sshe said. "Customers will also have access to a Kiwibank ATM and our PO Box services at Mount Maunganui."

"There is another a post centre a short distance away where people can also post mail and parcels, as well as pay their bills, at Mount Maunganui South Post, 517 Maunganui Rd."

Kiwibank banking, as well as bill payment, postal and courier services, are available at the nearby Bayfair Mall PostShop. These services are also available at the Grey St, Cameron Rd, Cherrywood and Palm Beach PostShops.
