People are being warned of delays if they are travelling between Tauranga and Mount Maunganui today.

A two-vehicle collision on Te Awanui Drive about 10.10am resulted in the centre Tauranga-bound lane at the Marina intersection being blocked by spilled scoria.

Head of Western Bay of Plenty road policing Senior Sergeant Ian Campion said contractors were still at the scene working to clear the spillage from the road.

No one was hurt in the crash, he said.
