Motorbike and car entangled in crash

The motorbike outside the Waihi police station.

A collision in the streets of Waihi ended with a motorist driving to the police station with a damaged motorbike still attached to the front of his vehicle.

A motorcycle and car collided on Parry Palm Rd in Waihi.

The rider ended up on the side of the road.

The driver of the car drove to the police station with the motorcycle still attached to the front of the vehicle.

According to a nearby resident who witnessed the crash, both vehicles were heading in the same direction when the collision occurred.

Emergency services were called to check on the rider and clean up fuel which had leaked.

The rider of the motorbike, a middle-aged man from Waikino, was not badly injured in the crash. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
