A man has been taken to hospital after suffering a reported surfing injury at Pukehina Beach this morning.
An ambulance was called to the beach about 7.40am.
A St John Ambulance media spokeswoman said a person had suffered a "traumatic injury", possibly while surfing.
A man was taken to Tauranga
Hosptial in a moderate condition.
