The Knights have made three major changes for the next three rounds of the McDonald's Super Smash, beginning against the Auckland Aces at Bay Oval from 4.10pm tomorrow.

They then play the Canterbury Kings at Bay Oval from 4pm Thursday, followed by the in-form Wellington Firebirds at Seddon Park, Hamilton on Friday from 7.10pm.

The Knights welcome Australian import Trent Lawford, debutant Peter Bocock and a returning Zak Gibson to the ranks as Tim Southee, Trent Boult and Mitchell Santner resume duties with the Black Caps.

Lawford is a hard-hitting allrounder who has previously played for the Sydney Sixers and Adelaide Strikers in the Australian Big Bash League T20 competition. He joins the Knights for the remainder of this season.

Bocock, who has been captaining the Northern Districts A team, receives his first call-up to play for the Knights.
