Flooding closes Maleme Street

A short section of a Greerton road near the transfer station is about to be closed to through-traffic due to surface flooding.
Tauranga City Council announced this afternoon that the section of Maleme Street will remain closed until the flooding subsides.
A spokesman said it was keeping an eye on familiar ponding spots at Papamoa Beach Road (east of Domain Road intersection) and SH29 near Oropi Road, which may require partial closures.
